Character, main and offspecs:
What is your main spec and why?
My main spec is Havoc and that comes down to several reasons:
1- The flexibility in raids especially when it's about executing mechanics and the ability to participate in those on the spot (ex: Goroth's Rain of Brimstone solo soak even if it was far away, and similar mechanics with the flexibility of abilities such as Fel rush and Netherwalk which on top of the immunity also increases movement speed by 100% while active).
2- The class fantasy and the fun it provides especially in Havoc spec, it is fun, has a nice lore background, brings me back to the early days when I started playing WoW during TBC, kinda hard to explain but it's just a bit nostalgic to me.
3- I enjoy DPSing and have a preference for it over tanking and healing.
4- There are only two specializations currently for Demon hunters one of which is DPS and I am somehow short on options there.
Which talents do you use and which changes (if any) do you make for each specific encounter of the most current raid?
Alright, my default talents for raids are the following 2221311 meaning: Felblade - Demon blades - First blood - Netherwalk - Nemesis - Master of the glaive - Chaos blades.
Those do vary slightly based on the encounter, for example on The Desolate Host I swap Nemesis with Bloodlet and use the soul ring (extra talent) for AoE purposes and add clearing whilst also swapping legendaries from "Delusions of Gradeur" and "Anger of the Half Giants" (basic set) into "Soul of the Slayer" and "Mo'arg Bionic Stabilizers".
On top of that I have some preset gears for some encounters in the gear manager tab which is worth mentioning while on the topic, these vary as well depending on the fight requirements (ex: AoE heavy, Patchwerk fights etc..)
To what extent do you play each of your offspecs?
(i.e. Do you use them in raids / are you up to date with knowledge, practice and interface / do you have any artifact power and legendaries / do you enjoy them / would you be willing to make them your main spec if beneficial for the guild)
I do not play Vengeance spec too much, mostly just to ensure that some quick Mythic +10 or +12 runs would go fast, to help out some friends, do a heroic run of the current content if the tank spot cannot be filled or perhaps even to be the 3rd tank on Host but that's quite boring -.-'
I do check the spec BiS gear changes every while and have a decent amount of it especially that most of it is the same as Havoc when it comes to tier pieces, missing 2 legendaries for Vengeance still but pretty soon it will feel much better to have acquired all leggies for all specs this expansion.
Concordance is available for OS but didn't grind more than that so far, it is fun and enjoyable to a certain extent but not as much as Havoc.
To be fair and honest I am not fully willing to swap for the joy of it, but if required then sure why not, worth giving it a shot.
Do you have any significant alts?
Not at the moment, I tend to invest mostly in my main and have him optimal, especially with a grind based expansion. My warrior (which was my main before legion for quite some time) is a bit low on gear but I do check every now and then for best specs, good rotations, bis stats etc.. We have a long history and I cannot just ignore his presence too much.
Did you ever change classes and do you consider doing so again in the future?
Yes once from Warrior to Demon hunter when Legion came out as previously mentioned, but I prefer to stick to a class and excel at it than to keep hopping from one to another, it could be an option but doesn't seem too likely.
Equipment and interface:
What are the specifications of your computer?
Processor: Intel Core i5 - 6600 @ 3.30 GHz
Memory: 16GB RAM
VGA: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 - 3GB
Do you have headphones and a microphone?
What is your latency on Kazzak-EU?
Aprox. 65ms stable
Which addons do you use?
Main addons for PvE and PvP:
Bartender, Exorsus raid tools, Gladiatorlos, Gladius, Mythicplustimer, Pawn, ShadowedUF, Simulationcraft, Skada, Tellmewhen, WeakAuras2, Deadly Boss Mods
And a few other minor addons.
Can you link a video of one of your bosskills (with your PoV)? If not, please upload a screenshot of your UI.
Do you click abilities or do you use keybindings (or a combination of both)?
Not much of a clicker I tend to have all my buttons bound and used to them this way.
Do you use any macros? (e.g. mouseover macros)
Yes, many but for the mouseover one I only need it for the Metamorphosis on Havoc Demon hunter:
/cast [@cursor] Metamorphosis
And of course the CD combination macros such as:
/cast Chaos Blades
/cast Arcane Torrent(Racial)
Apart from that it's mostly PvP related stuff for focus interrupt, target assist or cast @ mouseover bandage etc.. (mainly minor ones but worth mentioning anyway).
Raiding experience and guild history:
What guilds were you in before, why did you join them and why did you leave them?
Consanguineus, joined for decent Mythic progress and content clear, left on good terms and for two reasons:
1- I was starting to feel that the progress I am doing was minimal at this point, the grinding is too big and the progress compared to it is a bit slow and taking more time than it should, which made me feel that I'm holding my ground for quite some time, it was getting a bit bothersome with a few people doing repetitive mistakes when others are trying to be more serious and achieve content (I did not mention for it was a personal reason that I preferred to keep for myself).
2- I am starting to spend too much time in WoW especially with 3 raiding days, it is taking a lot of space throughout the week from IRL matters, so I'd rather condense them into two days or else just go casual if need be. (Which is the reason I mentioned to them).
Overall, the guys were just amazing from GM to officer crew to raider and even socials, the atmosphere in the guild was great, but I was feeling a bit held back and it was starting to get more time consuming for a progress that was a little bit slow paced, I don't really know how to explain this whilst making more sense but it just didn't feel right in several ways.
The Royal Army, left on somewhat bad terms, the raid leader was the only valid / in charge officer in the guild, I prefer not to discuss this too much since it was a bad experience but long story short, the guild felt like "The cool kids on the block" and the rest of the people, my girlfriend which plays Holy Pala was starting to feel a bit pushed away and didn't like that person's approach to her and neither did I, all of that with a slight touch of personal preference towards certain individuals.. It was just one person's decision and not a council kind of management which didn't work too well for us.
Please list all the bosses you have killed when their raid tier was still the cutting edge:
(see optional template below)
Well I've been off WoW for quite a while to finish up my studies up to Masters degree in architecture so I came back just when Legion came out, and before that I was more PvP oriented thus the only kills worth mentioning before legion was The Lich King and Anub'arak.
But for the current expansion in which I had the actual time to play:
Xavius 7/7 (Edge) - Cleared
Helya 3/3 (Edge) - Cleared
Gul'dan 10/10 (Edge) - Cleared
Mistress Sassz'ine 6/9 (So far)
What sources and/or methods do you use to keep your class knowledge up to date?
Well, apart from guides such as Wowhead, Icyveins, Noxxic (Kinda meh though), and Class discord, I tend to try stuff out myself and explore the class I'm playing, it usually ends up being whatever is recommended, but similar to let's say a Hearthstone deck, exploring and trying to figure stuff out as a person whilst practicing all the varieties on dummies counts much more and feels more achieving that just copy pasting stuff off the internet, or at least it makes a player understand the reason why this meta is most viable and not just abide by it just because "That's what they say on fansites"
How do you prepare for a new bossfight?
1- Go to youtube and look for "Signs of Kelani" and "Fatboss" guides.
2- After watching them read the abilities of the boss from the dungeon journal.
3- Watch the video one more time while being able to relate more to what you read.
4- Practice by trial and error until it's done.
5- Rinse and repeat for next progress boss.
Why you are applying:
What are your goals in this game?
Full content clear with full Edges throughout the entire expansion.
What are the reasons why you specifically want to join Rock Paper Scissors?
Convenient raiding time.
Maturity and respect so far judging by the website and a small pre-application chat with one of the officers in charge (which is something that matters to me more than progress).
Perhaps I might be misjudging but by the looks of it, same level of game knowledge and ability to progress with the rest of the team.
More about you:
Do you have any days or times you're unable to raid?:
Not for the time being, checked raiding times and other details before applying which seemed just right.
Can you tell us a little bit about yourself as a person?
As a person, well I guess usually people tend to state their qualities, and ignore their flaws, but what I'm sure of is that I'm a smooth easy going person who does not like to put too much effort into trouble and inconveniences, so I try my best to dodge them, however when it comes to serious stuff I prefer things to be treated with their value, I love creativity and arts, just as much as I love science and logic, this is the main reason why I went into architecture in the first place, it bothers me to see stuff misplaced or out of order but not to an OCD level of course, but who among us doesn't feel that way? I acknowledge others and their opinions and accept the fact that I can be wrong, but in return I do expect the same from them, basically being fair and a mutual way of interaction is what makes me feel that I belong to a certain group or environment with a similar intellectual level.
What is your proudest moment/achievement in WoW?
"You're really doing it wrong"?
Actually I'd say Battlemaster / General (2.2 in rbgs back in Cata when it was hard to get).. I keep constantly getting dissed by the lady since she has got High Warlord on the same season after I quit WoW for my studies -.-'
What is your /played?
Warrior: 239 days played
Demon Hunter: 101 days played
Shaman / Rogue / Priest: 40 days played aprox.
Total: 380 days played on this account
(Had a previous account that was hacked back in the day with a warrior main but cannot tell the /played on it since I have no access to it anymore)
Anything else you would like to add or explain?
No, that would be it for the time being.
Malicerose - Kazzak EU.
